DEPART THE U.S.A

DAY TWO: Monday
WELCOME TO ISRAEL

  • Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport where you will be welcomed by our representative and assisted with arrival formalities.
  • Transfer to your hotel located on the Mediterranean Coast.
  • Check into the hotel.
  • Orientation and Welcome Dinner at the hotel.

DAY THREE: Tuesday
THE STILL SMALL VOICE

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out of the hotel and depart for Caesarea.
  • Dive in to the book of Acts as you visit Caesarea, a city built by Herod the Great, and the Capital of the Roman history of Judea.
  • Drive up into the Carmel Mountains.
  • The One True God, visit Mt. Carmel, where Elijah the Prophet served as a conduit to declare the power of the one true God.
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Witness the faithfulness of God in modern Israel, visit Given Imaging, a successful company which develops micro medical testing and imaging devices, which directly affect and improve diagnosis and treatment of diseases all over the world. 
  • Drive to the City of Nazareth. Stop at an overview and imagine what the Galilee looked like in Jesus' day.
  • Check into the hotel.
  • Dinner at the hotel.

DAY FOUR: Wednesday
FULFILLING HIS PROMISE

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • From hills overlooking the Sea of Galilee read from the Book of Matthew and hear the words that were taught by Jesus in His Sermon on the Mount.
  • Venture along the Banias River, also known as Caesarea Philipi, and experience the wonder of God in nature, where Jesus asked his disciples “who do men say that I am?”
  • God fulfilling His promise to restore His Chosen People to the Land, enjoy lunch with Israeli combat soldiers who are actively involved with the fulfillment of His promise.
  • Visit the Valley of Tears, on the Golan Heights, site of one of Israel's fiercest tank battles during the Yom Kippur War and learn about the battle of the 77th Battalion - OZ77.
  • Get into it, what does it feel like (then and now)?  Meet with local Israelis who are working in the Golan today who will guide you while you try your hand (or feet) in a wine press or olive press. Feel the land, touch the herbs and find yourself transported back to the world in which Jesus lived.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Dinner at the hotel.
  • Making sense of it all, use this time to gather your thoughts, pray and reflect on your experiences.

DAY FIVE: Thursday
JOURNEY TOWARDS JERUSALEM

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out and begin your journey towards Jerusalem.
  • With Bible in hand, visit the biblical sites:
    • Capernaum (Matt. 4:13).
    • Tabgha and the site of the Restoration of Peter (John 21).
  • Drive along the Sea of Galilee to a Baptismal Site on the Jordan River.
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Drive via the Jordan Valley, and view Jericho, the city that was conquered by Joshua as the Israelites were led into the Land of Israel.
  • Drive east across the untouched biblical landscape of the Judean Desert and ascend to Jerusalem through the wilderness where Jesus wandered and was tempted by the devil.
  • Hold your breath, stop for a view of Jerusalem in all its glory.
  • Continue to the hotel for check-in.
  • Dinner at the hotel.

DAY SIX: Friday
ON HIS PATH

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Good Morning Jerusalem, set your eyes on the city of Jerusalem from the Mt. Of Olives.
  • Descend to Gethsemane, and visit the olive grove where Jesus prayed prior to his arrest and crucifixion.
  • Enter the Old City of Jerusalem through St. Stephen's gate, visit the Pools of Bethesda, where Jesus told the lame man to “take up his mat and walk.”
  • Lunch on your own in the Old City.
  • Visit the Western Wall and experience the special atmosphere of this holy site.
  • Take communion at the Garden Tomb, traditional site of Calvary.
  • Meet the locals, experience the energy of Jerusalem at the Machaneh Yehuda outdoor market as people make final preparations for the Sabbath.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Special Sabbath dinner at the hotel with guest speaker from Bridges for Peace - a Jerusalem-based, Bible believing Christian organization supporting Israel and building relationships between Christians and Jews.

DAY SEVEN: Saturday
THE DAY OF REST

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Optional day at Masada and the Dead Sea. (Additional cost may apply.)

  • Free Day in Jerusalem to explore things on your own here are some ideas:
  • Visit the Tower of David Museum of the History of Jerusalem, for a walk through the city's history from the time of Abraham to the end of the British Mandate over Palestine.
  • Visit the renewed Israel Museum, one of the most creative and innovative museums in the world with a wide and eclectic collection, ranging from Judaica and archaeology to Renaissance and contemporary Israeli art, concluding with a visit to the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Shrine of the Book and the Second Temple Period Model of Jerusalem.
  • Dinner at the hotel.

DAY EIGHT: Sunday
GATEWAYS

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • “Watchman on the Walls,” These words, spoken by God to Isaiah, may resonate loudly as you walk on the Walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.
  • Visit Mt. Zion and the Upper Room where Jesus spent his last hours with his disciples before his arrest and crucifixion. Visit the traditional Tomb of King David and recount the messianic covenant of the Davidic line.
  • Continue into the Old City, entering through the Zion Gate, through the Jewish Quarter, including King Hezekiah's First Temple period Broad Wall, and the ancient Roman Cardo.
  • Guided visit to the Southern Wall Excavations, including the southern steps, where the Jewish Pilgrims would have entered the Temple Mount and the stores and stalls where Jesus and the other Jews would have bought their food, drink and sacrifices for the Temple.
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Shared values, see the Supreme Court and the Knesset, The Israeli Parliament, discuss the democratic values of the State of Israel.
  • Visit to the city of Bethlehem, site of the birth of Jesus and the Church of the Nativity.
  • Return to the hotel.
  • Dinner at the hotel.

DAY NINE: Monday
MEMORY, RENEWAL AND RETURN

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out of the hotel.
  • Guided visit through the newly renovated Yad Vashem complex, the Jewish National Memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust, including:
    • The Avenue of the Righteous
    • The new Historical Museum
    • The Children's Memorial
    • A concluding Memorial Service
  • Depart Jerusalem and travel to Tel Aviv.
  • Lunch on your own.
  • Understanding Fulfilment II, visit to Independence Hall, site of David Ben Gurion's historical proclamation of the State of Israel in May 1948.
  • Visit Jaffa, the ancient port where Jonah ran from God.
  • Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.
  • Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport.
  • Departure flight to the U.S.A., arriving the following day. (Tuesday)

Need to Know

  • Tour prices are per person in U.S. dollars. All hotel accommodations, motor coach transportation, special dinners, sightseeing, admissions, luggage handling and the services of local guides, drivers, and the Expedition Educator are included.
  • Hotel Accommodations: The tour price includes all hotel accommodations, in hotel rooms with private baths. Our standard is to provide the best available hotels while considering value. Although the level of the accommodations may differ slightly from hotel to hotel, we are committed to your comfort. Two-bed rooms are reserved in most hotels. Triples are two-bed rooms with a rollaway cot where available and are not recommended when considering the comfort of those in the room. King-size beds are not available in most hotels; what is considered king-size usually consists of two single beds pushed together and made up separately, but with one headboard. Some two-bed rooms may have two twin - not full- or queen-size - beds.
  • Meals are included as specified in the itinerary.
  • Expedition Educator: All trips are conducted by our Expedition Educators or local guides who remain with the group throughout the tour.
  • Gratuities Included: All gratuities for restaurant and hotel staff.
  • Luggage Responsibility: All tour packages allow one piece of luggage per person and one carry-on bag. Excess luggage will be subject to charge of up to $100 per piece. The Travel Agent and/or Tour Operator shall not be held responsible for any damage to or loss of luggage/personal items. All damage/loss must be reported at time of incident and documented in writing by local authorities for submission to your insurance company.


Not Included


  • Airfare to the tour departure point and from the tour ending point is not included. Airfare may be purchased from us for travel originating in the United States. Please see Flights tab in the right-side toolbar.
  • Personal Expenses: All personal expenses such as: laundry, valet service, cables, telephone calls and postage are not included.
  • Guide and Driver Gratuities:
    • 4 seater - $70  (i.e. 2 pax) - per day
    • 7 seater - $90 (i.e. 3-5 pax) - per day
    • 10 seater - $110 (i.e. 5-7 pax) - per day
    • 10-19 passengers: Guide $10, driver $5 - per participant per day
    • 20 passengers and more: Guide $8, driver $4 - per participant per day 


       

Additional Information


  • Airline Security Measures: In the U.S., you must provide identification in the form of a passport at the time of airport check-in for travel to international destinations. Your passport name must match the name on your tour reservation and airline ticket or you may be denied boarding.
  • If you are traveling from an airport outside the jurisdiction of the U.S, you will need to determine what travel documentation and identification is required for that particular airport.
  • Due to heightened security regulations, certain items such as a metal nail file, pocketknife, cigarette lighter or tweezers, and some liquid, gel, or aerosol items may not be permitted in your carry-on luggage. Please call your airline prior to departure to obtain current information on non-permissible carry-on items and recommended airport check-in times. You may also wish to visit the Transportation Security Administration website at www.tsa.gov to obtain more information on acceptable identity documentation and prohibited luggage items.
  • Holidays and Museum Closures - Museum visits and personal shopping time may be disrupted due to unforeseen circumstances or the many religious, state and local holidays locally observed in the destinations being visited.
  • Photography During Tours: We will occasionally use photographs taken by fellow guests or your trip director for promotional purposes. If you prefer that your photo not be used in any marketing activities, please notify us at the start of your tour.
